To celebrate the kick-off of rosé season, a new premium rosé wine called Out East announced its official launch this summer. The Côtes de Provence rosé comes from an
estate in Monfort-sur-Argens, France, nestled in the heart of Provence and one-hour north of Saint-Tropez.
The delicious rosé is the brainchild of Maggie Slavonic, an Emmy Award-winning creative director and Patrick Mitchell, the managing partner of a strategy and marketing company. “Out East was conceived while we were enjoying rosé poolside in Bridgehampton with an ambitious notion: how can we combine the idyllic settings of the Hamptons with the best-tasting rosé in the world?” said Mitchell, an Out East co-founder.
The founders aimed to create a beautiful rosé whose form and function were emblematic of the relaxed luxury lifestyle of the Hamptons and comparable enclaves around the world. “The idea that you can be out East anywhere was part of the development process of the brand, and care was taken to ensure every detail—from the label and shape of the bottle to the perfect tint for this sumptuous rosé—was consistent with a high-end luxury product with universal appeal,” said Mitchell.
Dry, crisp, and brimming with bright mineral tension, Out East is an exceptional Provence rosé, featuring complex aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and wild red berries, and lifted by hints of white flowers and baking spices. The grapes come from vines grown in the limestone and clay soils of the small territory known as Green Provence. The special soil and cool climate give the wine extraordinary freshness and vitality. During the two-year development process, the founders worked side by side with their growers and winemaker to ensure they were harvesting and bottling the best tasting rosé possible.
The complexity of Out East Rosé pairs perfectly with a variety of foods, especially dishes with assertive and spicy flavors. “Classic Mediterranean dishes featuring garlic and hearty herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and oregano tend to pair very well with our wine. Simple shellfish and fish dishes prepared with olive oil and garlic can also be a perfect match,” said Mitchell.
This summer Out East Rosé has exciting events planned in the Hamptons and New York City to commemorate the magnificent launch. “We will be hosting parties from casual beach-style clambakes to intimate dinners,” said Mitchell. The popular newcomer will also be sponsoring philanthropic events, including ARF’s Bow Wow Meow Ball and the St. Barth Hamptons party with Christie Brinkley.
